Penalties For Violating Section 4
(1) If a person conveys, obtains, gives to send or effects the delivery of postal articles, violating Section 4, such a person shall be liable for a fine upto Fifty Rupees for each letter.
(2) A person, after being proven guilty of the offence, again commits the same (similar) offence, shall be liable for a fine Two Thousand Rupees for each offence.
53 Penalties for violating Rules made under Section 13: ( 1) Any person, appointed to sale postage stamps sells them at more than the price fixed by the Rules framed under Clause (a) of the Sub-section (2) of
Section 13; after recovering the excess amount from him/her, he/she shall be liable for a fine upto One Thousand Rupees. 48
(2) If a person violates any other Rule framed under Section 13, he/she shall be liable for a fine upto Two Hundred Rupees.
